First of all, I'm playing a live in person performance this Saturday night from a balcony...amplified..at 221 1st Ave NE... Unit 17.
This is the Village Townhomes at St. Anthony Falls, near Surdyk's in Minneapolis.
This is a wonderful and bizarre development of the Virus quarantine.
These people are coordinating a nightly clapping and cheering event for the health workers, etc, at 7pm.
Recently they got the idea to add in an amplified performance from the balcony to the other balconies.
They're paying me to play.
They've sent an email to the neighborhood with my Paypal and Venmo links so they can tip me.
I hope they like me!
I think it's a great idea.
I'm their second Saturday night performer, and they have several more scheduled.
I can play whatever I want, for half hour.
Songs of mine of songs that you've heard me sing....please make suggestions if you have any.
The organizer said to play songs that are uplifting and or inspirational.
My own song Glory. This Land Is Your Land. Tangled Web. Times They Are A Changin. The Hallelujah. What else?
I really want this to be nice for them.
Electric guitar or acoustic?
The Guyatone could sound very cool echoing through the neighborhood...they said I can be loud!
It's only a half hour.
I sort of think electric. Go big or go home. Thoughts?
So excited to do this.
Sunday I'm part of an online concert series with many great artists, my portion is 7:30-8pm.
This is the link if you want to save it for Sunday:
And there are two more concerts for me set up in the next two weeks as well.
So, four concerts in the beginning of May, three online, one in person.
Promising, don't you think?
I feel good, I'm ready for action, bring it on.
Love and Springtime Joy to you!
