Last night we played this nice little bistro where I play fairly often.
I asked Rob to play because I was making it the kick off celebration for the new record.
Well, I'm so glad I planned it that way, and I'm so glad that Rob came to play, because it really did turn into a fun night!
So many people came to the little bistro that it was almost standing room only.
The staff said they've rarely had so many people come and stay to the very end that way.
It was lovely.
We had a blast.
The t shirts and new cds were a success at the merch table and we received quite a bit in donations and purchases.
We play the album straight through start to finish, and then we played my own songs later, a whole set.
It was great musically.
I felt like my voice was easy and the sound was nice.
Rob sounded great and helped musically so much.
His presence made it much more of a show I thought.
And the great Magic Marc Percansky was there!
Magic Marc is a very magical guy.
He really understands what it takes and what it is to be doing what I'm doing.
He helped out in many ways last night.
People are just so great around this whole thing, I really feel it.
One of my favorite fans helped me out yesterday with the t shirts and also took me for lunch.
We realized that the song Tower Card from my last record is the premonition of all the good things that are happening now.
You just have to let yourself fall.
You have to give up control.
You never really had it anyway.
Tonight I play as part of a songwriter circle at The Warming House.
Monday I go to Ely.
Next Sunday we fly to Frankfurt.
Let go and let God.
