Last night I got a standing ovation.
There were about eighty people at my concert.
I was so glad they mostly all stayed for my second set.
And then the standing ovation.
Although, you know how that is, some people are just standing anyway to put their coats on.
But some of the people anyway gave my performance a standing ovation and I felt great about it.
One man afterwards said to me, "Don't let anyone tell you that you aren't good at this."
That's a great line.
I am good at it now.
I played a lot of different songs, I played "Beautiful Lonely" with the whistling part.
I played the two Dolly Parton songs.
Now what I need to do more than anything is buckle down and write the new songs.
A nice fan in Ely, Minnesota is offering to let my dog Tobi and me stay in her guest space.
I'm going to take her up on that as soon as possible.
Maybe in the middle of May.
Wouldn't that be awesome?
Thank you to the new fans in Nisswa and to the organizers there.
It's a great concert series and I was so happy to be a part of it.
Smiles from ear to ear.
