6pm tonight I'll be playing with a microphone and an amplifier for my guitar on my front porch.
Bold move, I know.
But you gotta fight for the right to party.
I'm not protesting anything.
The city of Minneapolis is eagerly pushing ahead with the openings of restaurants and bars.
I'm providing proper distancing out of doors for ten fans.
They bring a chair, a mask, a beverage.
I think it's a safe fun plan.
I hope so much that we all have a great time.
I'm fairly confident that it'll be fun and worthwhile and meaningful.
My songs that I always sing are all more meaningful than ever right now.
My repertoire was built on caring about social justice and strong values.
These difficult times work for me and my music I truly believe.
I don't feel that my performance, after what we've been through in Minneapolis recently, will feel tone deaf to the troubles we face.
Also, there is new optimism in the last few days as well.
I feel good about singing for people now.
I hope it's a good experience for me and for everyone who joins me.
The concerts will be every Saturday in June 6pm.
You can email me at email@example.com if you want to join.
So far, eight people have singed up.
A couple more have reserved spots for the next few concerts as well.
I tell people they can make a donation to me for any amount to "buy a ticket" and reserve a spot.
Some people have given ten dollars, some have given more.
One guy gave a hundred for himself and his wife.
One person gave forty just for their own spot.
I feel valued and encouraged.
That means a lot to me.
Come to a concert if you can this month.
Otherwise, hopefully I'll be playing again in your town soon!
Have a beautiful day!
